Gameweek 5 sees The Hill enter in with a point to prove coming off the back of an unfortunate 5-2 loss at the hands of Crystal Phallus, with Bohfenians last result also coming against Phallus in a 4-0 loss. The lads went into this looking to climb back up the table whilst Bohfenians are awaiting their first points in the group. The team however was missing captain Conor Murphy as well as top scorer Ryan Glynn from the usual lineup, with Bano coming in for Ryan despite having a broken hand, Conor Hind drops into central defence in place of Murph while Devon captains the club for the first time.

The game started choppy, Sideeq coming late meant he had to be introduced from the bench before going over on his ankle and needing to be brought off early. Although this rattled the team, we knew the gaps were there to exploit. It didn’t take long to find the opener as a brilliant cross from Devon from the right hand side found Conor Round with a brilliant header to open the scoring. It only took a few minutes later before Devon added our second of the night, a shot at the keeper who unfortunately hit off both legs before falling into the net. From that point The Hill had control of the first half, a fumble in the box left an opening for Rounder to grab his second before minutes later he fired in a rocket from the left side right into the top right corner to see us go into half time at 4-0.

The second half got off to a shaky start, Bohfenians scoring a sensational goal from just past the halfway line before a lapse in concentration saw them grab a second. Minutes later Bano, who had a fantastic match today with 4 assists, took a free kick that crossed the line before coming back out, which the ref decided was not a goal. This was redeemed minutes later however with Rounder grabbed his fourth of the day running straight through the defence to place it into the net. It was moments like this that showed the difference in class between the two sides on the day.
