Gameweek 3 was another test for the lads, with Madeline Milan relatively unknown to us barring a win and loss in their opening two games. But the 100% record so far this season showed us this wouldn’t dampen our mood going into the game.

The first half saw Milan take control of the game with their physicality over football plan paying dividends for them, as they had most of the chances and looked as though they may grab a goal.

The second half saw us finally take control, with Devon making a run deep before being brought down, with Siddeeq scoring the resulting free kick with a deflection off the wall. Not long after and Devon’s corner found the head of Conor Round for 2-0 and it looked like we’d finally killed our opponents. Despite plenty of chances it was Milan who’d score with a great free kick giving them hope in the final 10 minutes. Though it looked as though we’d see out the result, Milan had a man brought down in the box and had a penalty to equalise in the last minute.
