Very tough day in Group Game 2, injuries and availability lead to some key players missing, as well as questionable turf to play led to us receiving a pasting, with Eoghan Murphy scoring a consolation penalty at the end.

Great first half performance from the team, some of the best football we’d played all season. Michael Healy and Ian Connaughton deservedly put us 2-0 up going into halftime, however we got complacent and allowed Soapy into the game, who eventually managed to draw level and take two points off of us.

Great performance from the team, arguably the best we’ve played in months. Jordan Kelly opening the scoring with a fantastic goal from range, our opponents equalised and snatched the lead at the stroke of halftime. Evan Barry leveled within two minutes with a brilliant assist from Jordan before he then assisted again for Wes Kane to put us back ahead. Evan Barry grabbed a second just at the final whistle to wrap up a great result.

Dominant display from the lads, the ball rarely leaving our opponents half but it took till the final minute to break the deadlock. Tadhg O’Reilly is brought down in the box, before slotting away his penalty. Eoghan Murphy swings in a ball at the very end and it is knocked in off a defender, and it’s our first win of the year.
