Gameweek 10 saw the tangerines face Exeter Swiftly coming off the back of a tough loss against Stroke Titty, our sixth loss in a row and a start to 2022 that the club could only aim to turn around. Conor Hall remaining in goal after a stellar performance the game prior as well as returns to the team for Wes Kane, Ryan Glynn and skipper Conor Murphy. Exeter Swiftly also coming off the back of a 2-0 loss to Madeline Milan.
The first half began shaky with the football being played at both ends and Exeter exploiting gaps in our defence to cause us hassle. A ball played through was pounced on and we found ourselves a goal down. As the Hill grew into the game, Wes crossed it into the box finding Ryan, who still had it all to do, flicked it over a defender before striking on the volley. It looked like the moment we’d needed to get back into the game
The second half was again a mixed bag for a lot of the game until Exeter eventually regained the lead in what was virtually the same situation as they did before, before later in the game a fumble around the box lead to the opponents being able to poke it in the net. 7 losses in a row for the Hill.
